To meet Twin Cities area needs, Midwest Asphalt Corporation continues to develop new aggregate sources. All of our aggregate sources are developed in a manner responsive to community and environmental considerations. Two new aggregate sources have recently been developed by Midwest Asphalt Corporation. One is a sand and gravel pit located in Hastings, Minnesota, the second location is a limestone quarry located seven miles South of Hastings on TH316 just north of the intersection of TH61. Materials from this pit and quarry are used at the Eden Prairie Hot Mix Asphalt Facility and our contracted projects where aggregates are needed. Our Elk River pit offers sand and gravel products to our customers in the northern suburbs ( call for operating hours).
